220 AM AKDT Tue Oct 22 2024

...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM AKDT
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Significant coastal flooding expected.

* WHERE...Eastern Norton Sound and Nulato Hills.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Low lying property including homes, businesses, and
  some critical infrastructure will be inundated. Shoreline
  erosion will occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be multiple peaks in water
  levels, with the highest water expected early this morning.
  Water levels are expected to rise to 8 to 12 feet above normal
  high tide across much of eastern Norton Sound. For Shaktoolik,
  water levels of 10 to 13 feet will result in lots of erosion and
  breaking waves washing away the sea wall. Water is also expected
  to rise across the backside of Shaktoolik near the runway. This
  peak this morning will be between 2 AM and 5 AM and about 2 feet
  higher then Sunday night, then water will begin to recede. For
  Unalakleet, water levels of 8 to 10 feet above normal high tide
  will result in water inundating the area around the AC Store, as
  well as water backing up the Unalakleet River. Water will peak
  between 1 AM and 4 AM this morning about 1.5 feet higher than
  Sunday night then begin to recede. For Stebbins and St. Michael,
  8 to 12 feet of water above the normal high tide line will
  result in water in low- lying areas around town. The highest
  water will be between midnight at 6 AM this morning, about 1.5
  feet higher than Sunday night, then water will begin to recede.
  For Koyuk, water levels are expected to be 10 to 13 feet above
  normal high tide line, peaking this morning between 4 and 7 AM,
  about 2 feet higher than Sunday night. For Elim, water levels
  will be 8 to 12 feet above normal high tide line, peaking
