...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 4 PM AKST
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 20
  inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. Snowfall rates of 1 to
  3 inches per hour in Turnagain pass between 6am and noon. The
  combination of heavy snow and wind may reduce visibility to one
  quarter mile or less at times.

* WHERE...Higher elevations of the Seward Highway, including
  Turnagain Pass and Summit Lake.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 4 PM AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. White-out
  conditions expected. Gusty winds could bring down tree
  branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Warmer air may mix in and transition
  precipitation to a mix of rain and snow or rain by Tuesday
  afternoon. Rain falling onto snow covered roadways may create
  additional hazards. Expect snow totals on the lower end of the
  given range near Summit Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous. If you must travel,
keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case
of an emergency.
