...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO NOON AKST TUESDAY ALONG
TURNAGAIN ARM AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF ANCHORAGE...

* WHAT...East to southeast winds 30 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75
  mph. Local gusts to 85 mph possible for Upper Potter Valley and
  Bear Valley.

* WHERE...West Turnagain Arm and higher elevations of Anchorage,
  including Upper Potter Valley, Bear Valley, and the Upper Hillside.

* WHEN...From 6 AM to noon AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and
  cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for
  high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will be at peak intensity from roughly
  8am to 10am Tuesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind. Prepare for the possibility of widespread
power outages. Use caution if you must drive.
