WATCHES AND WARNINGS
--------------------
A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Ulithi, Ngulu,
Fais in Yap State, and Yap Proper and adjacent coastal waters.

A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions,
including winds of 39 to 73 mph, are expected within 24 hours.

Maximum sustained winds...45 mph
Present movement...west-northwest...280 degrees at 11 mph

DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 400 PM CHST...0600 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Hagupit was
located near Latitude 8.7 degrees North and Longitude 138.9 degrees
East. Hagupit continues to move west-northwest and has decreased in
forward speed to 11 mph. It is expected to maintain this general
course with a decrease in forward speed through Saturday as it passes
through or just south of Yap Proper overnight.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 45 mph. Hagupit is forecast to
intensify through Saturday, but is expected to remain a tropical
storm.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 110
miles to the north.

The next scheduled advisory will be issued by the National Weather
Service at 800 PM ChST this evening followed by an intermediate
advisory at 1100 PM ChST tonight.
