Mainly between the High Point and Lexington areas, especially on back roads where creeks and streams have risen outside of their banks. * WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for elevated streams and creeks to recede bank into their banks and clear closed roadways due to high water levels. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 125 AM EDT, Emergency management and local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Greensboro, High Point, Lexington, Thomasville, Archdale, Trinity, Jamestown, Oak Hollow Marina, Welcome and High Rock Lake. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
