The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Putnam County in north central Illinois...
  East central Bureau County in north central Illinois...

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 846 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Magnolia, or
  9 miles south of Hennepin, moving northeast at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Hennepin, Spring Valley, Granville, Ladd, Dalzell, McNabb, Mark,
  Magnolia, Standard, and Florid.

This includes Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 71 and
72.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for north central
Illinois.
