...NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED ACROSS
SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO, THE GUADALUPE AND DELAWARE MOUNTAINS, AND
THE SACRAMENTO FOOTHILLS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY EVENING...

Weather conditions will be favorable for fire spread in wildland
grasses.

* Relative humidity: As low as 5 to 10 percent.

* Wind: Southerly to westerly 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30
  mph. Higher winds in the mountains.

* Temperature: 5 to 10 degrees above normal.

* Fuels: Dry.

* Timing: From 12 PM MDT this afternoon to 8 PM MDT this evening.


Outdoor burning and activities that cause open sparks or flames
are discouraged. Fire and emergency officials should be aware
that weather conditions will be favorable for the development of
wind-driven grass fires.
