Total snow accumulations between 1 to 2 feet, greatest on west facing aspects. Winds gusting 60 to 85 mph. * WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains and Crazy Mountains. * WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Heavy snow and whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and backcountry recreation potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult to impossible from Gardiner to Cooke City. Expect a significant increase in avalanche danger. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will diminish through Monday morning. An additional period of heavy snow is expected, through Tuesday.
