...INCREASED FIRE DANGER FROM NOON EDT TODAY THROUGH
THIS EVENING...

A dry air mass remains across the area today, although not as dry
as recent days. Still, relative humidity values are expected to
fall below 25 percent outside of the mountains and around 25
percent in the mountain valleys, with higher values in the higher
elevations. Winds pick up speed and become gusty this afternoon
with gusts up to 35 mph across the mountains and up to 25 mph
elsewhere. With fuel moistures remaining dry, these conditions
will lead to increased fire danger this afternoon and early
evening. An outdoor burn ban remains in place as well.
