...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Southeast winds 20 to 30 knots becoming south. Gale force
  gusts up to 40 knots likely late. For Saturday, south winds to
  30 knots becoming southwest. Gusts up to 45 knot gales.

* WHERE...Michigan City IN to St Joseph MI.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until midnight EDT
  tonight. For the Gale Warning, until 8 PM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect
  through 9 am EDT Saturday. A line of strong to severe storms
  will cross the waters overnight. Winds and waves will be higher
  in and around thunderstorm activity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
