...A CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

  Sandy Hook NJ to Montauk Point out 40 NM...

At 149 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of thunderstorms,
capable of producing winds to around 25 knots. These thunderstorms
was located 26 nm southwest of Buoy 44017, moving northeast at 25
knots.

These thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 25 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
