...DENSE FOG ACROSS THE SOUTHERN COASTAL WATERS THROUGH 11 AM PST
Saturday...

A southerly surge of fog and marine stratus is bringing reduced
visibilities and dense fog to the southern coastal waters.
Visibilities are expected to drop across the coastal waters from
Pigeon Point down to Point Piedras Blancas, including the Monterey
Bay, as fog and stratus spread northward. Fog and dense fog will
continue through 11 AM PST Saturday. Mariners should expect
visibilities from one half to one quarter nautical mile and
possibly near zero at times. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout
for exposed rocks and other vessels, including large ships in the
shipping lanes. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and
consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.
