* At 1217 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms,
  capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail.
  These strong thunderstorms were located along a line from 11 NM
  south of Santa Cruz Harbor to 16 NM west of Point Pinos, moving
  east at 20 knots.

Locations impacted include...
  Mainly open waters of Monterey Bay, Coastal Waters from Pigeon
  Point to Point Pinos California out to 10 NM, Coastal Waters from
  Point Pinos to Point Piedras Blancas California out to 10 NM,
  Waters from Pigeon Point to Point Pinos 10-60 NM and Waters from
  Point Pinos to Point Piedras Blancas 10-60 NM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
