This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
east central Kansas, north central Kansas, and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Very cold temperatures and wind chills arrive today. Locations
north of Interstate 70 are expected to see wind chills as low as
20 degrees below zero this morning. These wind chills spread south
of Interstate 70 late tonight into early Saturday.

A winter storm is forecast to begin this evening with snowfall
becoming widespread across the area overnight. 2 to 4 inches could
fall by sunrise Saturday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday


Snowfall will continue through Saturday morning with a possible
lull Saturday afternoon and evening before another round of
snowfall Saturday night into Sunday morning. Total snowfall of 5
to 7 inches is expected along and south of Interstate 70, where a
Winter Storm Warning has been issued. Slightly lower amounts of 2
to 4 inches are expected towards the Nebraska border, where a
Winter Weather Advisory has been issued.
