This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Overnight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

- Monday afternoon fire weather concerns:
At least near-criticial fire weather conditions are likely across
much of our forecast area, due to the combination of relative
humidity as low as 10-20 percent, and generally westerly winds
gusting at least 20-25 MPH. Within particularly Dawson and Gosper
counties in Nebraska, there does appear to be at least some
potential for outright-critical conditions to develop for a few
hours, due to slightly stronger wind speeds.

- Tuesday evening strong thunderstorm potential:
Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning, thunderstorms will
be possible in southern portions of our forecast area...especially
in our northern Kansas counties. There is a chance that a few of
these storms could become strong to marginally-severe...which
would be most favored within Rooks, Osborne and Mitchell counties.
Should any stronger storms manage to develop, the main hazard
would be hail up to the size of nickels or quarters.

- Wednesday through Saturday near-critical to potentially
  critical fire weather conditions:
Each afternoon between Wednesday and Saturday, at least portions
of our forecast area are expected to have at least near-critical
fire weather conditions, wherever there is a combination of winds
gusting at least 20 MPH, and relative humidity 25 percent or
lower. A few days could even feature outright-critical
conditions...meaning winds gusting at least 25 MPH and relative
humidity 20 percent or lower. At this time, Thursday appears to
carry the highest potential for critical conditions to affect a
larger portion of our forecast areas.
