.DISCUSSION...
A very mild period continues with above average temperatures
expected for Tuesday and Wednesday. Winds will largely remain out
of the south in the warm advection pattern, becoming breeziest
each afternoon, particularly by Wednesday. This persistent
southerly wind will also elevate relative humidities through mid-
week. In fact, on Wednesday, minimum RH values may only drop into
the 60 to 70 percent range. However, this moistening also comes
with a risk of increasing shower activity ahead of a strong cold
front off to the west. A more significant pattern change looms
into Thursday as temperatures drop by around 20 to 30 degrees
compared with previous days. Some snow could even mix in with the
rain showers as colder air sweeps through on Thursday.

The most prononced vertical mixing should be on Tuesday with
mixing heights up to around 5,000 feet or so. While fire weather
grids do not go beyond 48 hours into the forecast period, a quick
look at some of the data shows decent mixing outside of any of the
developing showers.

While thunderstorms are not explicitly shown in the forecast,
there is some non-zero threat of convection on Wednesday into
Wednesday night ahead of the strong cold front. If the front
arrives more into the night, thunderstorm chances would be
diminished.
