...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TO 7 PM CDT WEDNESDAY...

.DISCUSSION...

Fire concerns are expected to lessen on Wednesday due to a threat
for wetting moisture across much of western and north central
Nebraska. Snowfall amounts between 1 to 3 inches with around 0.25
inches of QPF are anticipated with this system. Strong north
winds are also expected through Wednesday with gusts as high as
55 to 65 miles per hour across much of western and north central
Nebraska. Blowing and drifting snow may be possible through
Wednesday afternoon as a result.

Elevated to near critical fire conditions are then expected
Thursday afternoon due to a combination of very dry air and
breezy southwest winds. Fire concerns look to remain elevated to
near critical through the end of the week and into the weekend
with strong winds, dry air, and mild temperatures remaining in
place across the area.

                    morning. Slight chance of snow showers late in
                    the morning. Blowing snow in the morning. Areas
                    of blowing snow early in the afternoon.
