.DISCUSSION...

A slow moving cold front will bring scattered showers and a few
thunderstorms north of the I-72 corridor today. As the front sinks
southward, showers will become more widespread across all of
central and southeast Illinois by Friday. Southwest winds will
gust 25 to 30 mph southeast of the I-55 corridor today, leading to
excellent ventilation. As mixing heights lower and winds decrease
substantially, ventilation will become poor by Friday.
