.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions will exist in the vicinity of the prescribed burn
site today and tonight, and aside from a few passing high-level
clouds, skies will be mostly clear through the period. South-
southwest winds will begin to strengthen shortly after sunrise
this morning, with winds at the 20-ft level expected to be in the
5-7 MPH range for most of the day. Transport winds will be from
the south-southwest as well, with speeds in the 12-20 MPH range
providing good smoke plume dispersion to the north-northeast.
Although the wind direction would normally be conducive for an
increase in dewpoints, this will likely not be the case today as
deep mixing will draw very dry air aloft down to the surface.
This, along with warm air temps in the l-m 70s, will create low
MinRH values in the 20-25% range (perhaps even a bit lower than
this). RH values will begin to recover quickly around sunset this
evening, with elevated winds preventing concern for development of
nocturnal fog.
