Windy conditions are anticipated today with sustained 15-25mph speeds by afternoon along with some gusts above 30 mph for portions of the region. Minimum relative humidity values in Houston County are around 45%, and with higher humidity in place than what we have experienced in the past couple days, Red Flag Warning criteria does not look like it will be met, but caution is advised with any outdoor burning. A cold front will pass through Southeast Texas on Wednesday. Once the front passes through, afternoon relative humidities are expected to drop to around 20%. Winds will remain elevated with gusts to 25 mph possible. A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for portions of Southeast Texas for Wednesday afternoon through the evening hours. .REST OF TODAY...
