Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
1251 PM CDT Fri Jul 18 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns continue to be minimal as ERCs remain below
the 50th percentile, Min RHs remain above critical thresholds, winds
stay relatively light, and overnight recoveries continue to be
excellent. This afternoon, the best rain chances (10-30%) will be
over and near the Davis Mountains, before seeing a drop off on
Saturday. High temperatures are forecast to be a few degrees above
normal this weekend.
