Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
1258 AM EST Sun Jan 25 2026

.DISCUSSION...
A winter storm system will impact the area tonight through
early Monday. Expect wintry pcpn in the form of freezing rain
affecting portions of the area, especially along and west of the
I-95 corridor, through midday. Pcpn will become just plain rain as
temps climb above 32 byu this afternoon. Although drying
conditions will follow during the upcoming work week, a series of
Arctic high pressure systems will affect the area, keeping temps
well below normal.

Wind profile analysis/fire control over flat terrain is Favorable.

Fog potential for tonight is Moderate.
