Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Texas
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
247 PM CDT Sat Mar 15 2025

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...
Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are expected across
the large majority of Southeast Texas for the remainder of the afternoon
and into the evening. Skies have cleared, temperatures have warmed into
the 70s and low 80s, humidities have fallen into the teens and low 20s,
and west winds are gusting between 25-40mph. Wind speeds and gustiness
should diminish after sunset.

Though winds will not be as strong on Sunday, elevated fire
weather conditions will still prevail as the relative humidity falls back
into the teens and 20s during the late morning and afternoon hours.
