.DISCUSSION...
Highs today will be in the 40s and 50s for most areas, with
afternoon relative humidity values of 20-30% along and west of
highway 183. Wind gusts may reach 20-25mph during the afternoon west
of highway 183 during the afternoon resulting in elevated to near
critical fire weather conditions. The duration of lowest RH and
highest wind gusts looks to be fairly short, but greater mixing could
bring a longer duration of increased fire weather concerns.
Southwest winds gusting 20-25mph are expected during the morning,
shifting to the northwest and increasing to 25-40mph during the
afternoon behind a cold front. Relative humidity values below 30
percent are possible across most of the area, with values of 20-25
percent west of Highway 183. While winds increase behind the front,
relative humidity values will also increase bringing some uncertainty
on the duration of elevated-near critical fire weather conditions.
