.DISCUSSION...
Low humidity and breezy conditions could result in an elevated
risk of wildfire spread this afternoon. Minimum RH values will
drop into the teens and low 20s across western Pennsylvania and
remain in the mid to upper 20s east of the mountains. Southerly
winds will gust 20 to 25 mph at times this afternoon, with the
highest gusts expected in northern Pennsylvania. A Special Weather
Statement will be in effect through 7PM to alert the public of
the elevated risk of wildfire spread.
Rain returns on Thursday followed by cooler temperatures gusty
winds to end the week. An unsettled pattern into the weekend and
early next week will assist in minimizing fire weather concerns
into next week.
