...The National Weather Service in Birmingham AL has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Alabama...

  Tombigbee River At Gainesville Lock and Dam affecting Greene,
  Sumter and Marengo Counties.

.Heavy rainfall through the weekend may be enough to generate minor
flooding over the Tombigbee River basin. A flood warning is now in
effect for the Tombigbee River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

conditions warrant.

* WHERE...Tombigbee River at Gainesville Lock and Dam.

* WHEN...From Tuesday morning until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 77.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Tuesday morning and continue rising to a crest of 101.4 feet
    Tuesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 101.0 feet.
