Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
Trade winds will weaken to moderate to locally fresh as high
pressure northeast of the state drifts east and weakens through
Saturday. A low and surface trough will drift northwest of the
state this weekend veering winds to east southeast and weakening
speeds to variable to moderate strength. Some isolated
thunderstorms will be possible tomorrow into Sunday. A new high
will build north of the state Tuesday strengthening trades back to
moderate to locally strong.

.TONIGHT...East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet. Wave
Detail: East 5 feet at 7 seconds and northwest 6 feet at 15
seconds.
.SATURDAY...East to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 5 to 8
feet. Wave Detail: Northwest 5 feet at 14 seconds and east 4 feet
at 7 seconds. Scattered showers.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...East to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 5
to 6 feet. Wave Detail: East 4 feet at 7 seconds and northwest 4
feet at 12 seconds. Numerous showers and a slight chance of
thunderstorms.
.SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT...East to southeast winds 15 to 20
knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet. Numerous showers and a slight chance of
thunderstorms.
.MONDAY...Near Kauai and Oahu, east southeast winds 10 to 15
knots. Elsewhere, east winds 20 to 25 knots. Seas 5 to 8 feet,
subsiding to 5 to 6 feet. Scattered showers.
.TUESDAY...East winds 15 to 25 knots. Seas 5 to 8 feet. Scattered
showers.
.WEDNESDAY...East northeast winds 20 to 30 knots. Seas 7 to 8
feet. Scattered showers.
