290 NOUS41 KWBC 131940 PNSWSH Service Change Notice SCN25-64 National Weather Service Headquarters Silver Spring MD 340 PM EDT Wed Aug 13 2025 To: Subscribers: -NOAA Weather Wire Service -Emergency Managers Weather Information Network -NOAAPort Other NWS Partners and NWS Employees From: David Michaud, Director NCEP Central Operations National Centers for Environmental Prediction Subject: Upgrade to Wind Tropical Cyclone forecast Message v 1.11 Effective Immediately The Wind Tropical Cyclone forecast Message (WTCM) model is producing gridded tropical cyclone wind data that is now available on the Satellite Broadcast Network (SBN). A preliminary version that is encrypted for use internally to the NWS is delivered over the SBN around 02Z, 08Z, 14Z, and 20Z. A public, official version, is delivered over the SBN around 03z, 09Z, 15Z, and 21Z. Changes have already been delivered to NWS sites utilizing this model data via local updates, and will be baselined in a future release of AWIPS.
