966 NOUS41 KWBC 031215 PNSWSH Public Information Statement 25-21 National Weather Service Headquarters Silver Spring MD 815 AM EDT Thu April 3 2025 To: Subscribers: -NOAA Weather Wire Service -Emergency Managers Weather Information Network -NOAAPort Other NWS Partners, Users and Employees From: Kevin Stone, Team Lead Aviation and Space Weather Services Branch Subject: Soliciting Comments on Proposed Termination of Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) at Talladega Municipal Airport, Talladega AL (KASN) through May 3, 2025 NWS is proposing the termination of the TAF at Talladega, AL due to overall decreased traffic outside of a few seasonal high traffic events. Seasonal TAF service will be provided as appropriate to support high air traffic events in the Talladega area.For any scheduled high air traffic event, a Public Information Statement (PNS) that provides the effective TAF dates will be issued by WFO Birmingham at least one month prior to each event. The proposed termination date for KASN TAF is on or before September 5, 2025 with only seasonal TAF service provided after that date. Table 1.
