.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers will continue in the Western Interior through
Saturday evening, although most areas will not see wetting rains.
Thereafter, some rain will be possible over the Lower Yukon
Valley and YK Delta areas ahead of a much heavier and more
widespread band of precipitation with a low moving in from the
Bering Monday morning. This band will bring wetting rains to much
of the southwestern Interior and coastal areas near Norton Sound,
as well as southeast winds upwards of 20 mph to the YK Delta.
Through Sunday, high temperatures in most of the Western Interior
will be in the 60s, with areas further south in the low 60s and
further north in the upper 60s to near 70. Minimum relative
humidity values will gradually fall from the 50s in many/most
areas on Saturday into the 40s by Monday. Monday will start a
warming trend, with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s possible by
midweek.
