.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather continues to be dampened by the broad low across the
Bering Sea. A smaller low moving around the larger one moves from
the YK Delta through the Bering Strait bringing more widespread
rain showers and causing winds to shift from the east this morning
to the south this evening behind the low. Sustained speeds will
be fastest along the coast, but generally less than 15 mph with
gusts up to 20 mph at times. Additional waves of light rain
showers are expected through the weekend as the larger low moves
north towards the Bering Strait allowing southwest flow to bring
moist air into the region. Temperatures remain below 75 and RHs
above 40.
