.DISCUSSION...Cool and wet weather is expected to continue across
the West Coast and Western Interior through tomorrow evening,
with highs only rising into the mid to upper 50s across the area.
Min RH values will remain extremely wet, with even the lowest
values above 50%. Rain over the West Coast and the westernmost
parts of the Interior will continue to shift east today as a
front and associated low moves inland. Rain should end in coastal
locations late this evening, with the heaviest totals seen from
eastern Kotzebue/Norton Sound eastward. Interior locations could
see additional rainfall amounts approaching half an inch through
Thursday night, with parts of the Western Brooks Range seeing
amounts near or exceeding an inch. South winds between 5 to 10 mph
in the Western Interior will shift towards the north/northwest at
around 10 to 15 mph post-frontal passage. The front is expected to
continue moving eastward and reach Unalakleet tonight around 10
PM.
