.DISCUSSION...
A cool and wet pattern is expected across Western Alaska through
much of this week. Wetting rains are very likely, especially for
locations adjacent to the Norton Sound, the northwestern interior,
and the Southern Slopes of the Western Brooks Range for the rest
of the day today through tomorrow night. Along with showers,
cooler conditions will follow the front and decrease high temps to
the upper 50s or lower 60s. The lowest min RH values are expected
to be near 50% for the Western Interior with everywhere else much
higher. South to southwest winds between 10 to 20 mph across the
area with the strongest winds along the coast and higher
elevations. No thunderstorms are expected.
