.DISCUSSION...
After today, a weak cooling trend is expected across the West
Coast and Western Interior. Highs in the mid to upper 70s today
will fall by 3 to 5 degrees Sunday everywhere except for the
Upper Kobuk and Lower Koyukuk Valleys, where they will fall by
similar amounts Monday. Min RH values in the mid 30s to 40s
Saturday will rise into the 40s and 50s Sunday and the 50s or
higher Monday. Scattered showers will be possible across much of
the Western Interior and interior Seward Peninsula Sunday and
Monday, with showers being more numerous over the Nulato Hills.
Southeast winds of 15 to 20 mph will be possible over the YK
Delta and the Lower Yukon River Valley through Monday, with
northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph possible over the Upper Kobuk
Valley Monday afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible
over the southwestern Interior on Monday and the west-central
Interior Monday and Tuesday.
