.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Temperatures rise into the 60s to near 70 with min RHs remaining
between 30 and 40% Tuesday. Winds will be light, but gradually
increase from the southwest Tuesday night, mainly from the
Seward Peninsula to Western Brooks Range.
- A front drops south Tuesday night into Wednesday with wetting
rains likely in the Western Brooks Range and Kobuk Valley, moving
east along the Brooks Range on Wednesday. West winds gusting 15
to 25 mph are expected ahead of the front across the entire area
on Wednesday. Temperatures cool near the Brooks Range but remain
mild elsewhere.
- Temperatures trend gradually upward through the latter half of
the week, starting from the mid 60s on Wednesday to mid 70s on
Saturday and Sunday. Min RHs will gradually decrease with the
hottest areas in the Western Interior likely seeing less than 30
percent this weekend.
