.DISCUSSION...
Warm and mostly dry weather is expected over the weekend, with
highs in the mid-to-upper 70s across northern parts of the
Western Interior and the low-to-mid 70s in southern portions,
including the Lower Yukon Valley. Min RH values will broadly be in
the 30s and 40s in inland locations during this time frame,
although they will rise into the 50s and 60s in the Lower Yukon
Valley by Sunday. Winds will generally be light, with the
exception of west winds over the Kobuk Valley on Saturday, the
strongest of which will be confined to ridge tops. Isolated
showers and thunderstorms will be possible in spots through
Sunday, mostly near and south of Huslia, with scattered to
numerous showers becoming possible first over the southwestern
Interior / Lower Yukon Valley on Sunday and then across the rest
of the Western Interior and coastal locations on Monday. This
wetter weather will continue through midweek, with highs falling
into the 60s and min RH values rising into the 50s and 60s or
higher in most areas.
