   OF CALIFORNIA FROM RINCON POINT CALIFORNIA, WHICH IS
   LOCATED 15 MILES SE OF SANTA BARBARA TO POINT CONCEPTION
   CALIFORNIA...

A Tsunami was generated by this event but does not pose a threat
to these areas.  Some areas may see small sea level changes.
The decision to re-occupy hazard zones must be made by local
authorities.

This will be the final U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center
message for this region.  Refer to the internet site
tsunami.gov for more information.

   AREAS OF CALIFORNIA FROM HUMBOLDT/DEL NORTE LINE CALIFORNIA
   TO THE OREGON/CAL. BORDER...

If you are located in this coastal area, move off the
beach and out of harbors and marinas.

Tsunami advisories mean that a tsunami capable of producing
strong currents or waves dangerous to persons in or very near
the water is expected or is already occurring.  Areas in the
advisory should not expect widespread inundation.  Tsunamis
are a series of waves dangerous many hours after initial
arrival time.  The first wave may not be the largest.

At 425 PM Pacific Daylight Time on July 29 an earthquake with
preliminary magnitude 8.8 occurred 80 miles southeast of
Petropavlovsk Kamchatka.

The tsunami advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
