Total snow accumulations between 1 and 2 feet from 7000 to 8500 feet, 3 to 5 feet along the crest, and around 6 feet at the highest peaks. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Eastern Sierra Slopes. * WHEN...Until 10 AM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel will become difficult to impossible due to snow and blowing snow. Snow this afternoon and evening is likely to be heavy and wet, which is extremely dangerous to shovel and can cause roof damage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels between 8000 to 9000 feet today will fall to 6000 to 7000 feet this and tonight.
