...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST THURSDAY...

Light to moderate showers will continue on at least an intermittent
basis the next couple of hours, with more widespread rainfall and
an uptick in rainfall rates expected to move into Death Valley late
afternoon into early evening. The thunderstorm potential is low, but
non-zero, so a few lightning strikes cannot be ruled out through
early evening. The heavier rain will move eastward by late evening,
with lingering showers expected overnight through Christmas Day, with
light snow at the highest elevations surrounding Death Valley as snow
levels drop through the morning.
