.DISCUSSION...Outside of any convective influence, winds will be
relatively light, following typical diurnal directional trends
with downvalley drainage winds overnight and upvalley winds during
the day. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected in the
Sierra this afternoon. Gusty erratic winds and lightning will be
threats with any storms that develop. Given the isolated nature of
these storms, chances for wetting rains are dependent on the
location of individual storms and whether or not they move off the
terrain. Convection will diminish after sunset, with dry
conditions and relatively light, diurnal winds on Friday.
