.DISCUSSION...Isolated showers and thunderstorms will pop up in
the Sierra this afternoon, erratic outflow winds and frequent
lightning will be possible with any storms that develop. Chances
for wetting rains will be limited due to the isolated nature of
these storms. Outside of any convective influence, winds will
remain relatively light, following typical diurnal directional
trends with northerly drainage winds overnight and southerly
upvalley winds during the day. Dry conditions and increasing
temperatures are expected over the weekend and into early next
week.
