.DISCUSSION...Thunderstorms on the Sierra crest will result in
erratic gusty winds impacting the Fish Fire, with west being the
most likely wind direction through the afternoon and evening, with
gust speeds between 15 and 25 mph. Without the influence of nearby
thunderstorms, winds will be generally light (below 8 mph) from the
north-northwest. Winds remain light, with varied wind directions
Wednesday morning and afternoon. Slight chance of showers and
thunderstorms return to the area Wednesday afternoon, with moderate
chances of wetting rains and a return of erratic wind speeds from the
direction of storms that develop. Shower and thunderstorm chances
return on Thursday, but with a lesser areal coverage and a smaller
chance of wetting rain.
