.DISCUSSION...Scattered showers and storms today, favoring the
high terrain but there is a low chance that they do move off into
the valley near the fire. Should this occur, there is a decent
shot of a wetting rain. Nearby storms may produce gusty and
erratic outflow winds of 30 to 40 mph, most likely from the west
since most storms are on the Sierra. Otherwise, light southerly
breezes this afternoon, turning northerly and increasing in
magnitude sometime in the late afternoon or evening. Timing of
this shift is uncertain and dependent on the amount/strength of
storms to the north. Northerly breezes expected overnight and
Wednesday morning, turning southerly in the afternoon. There is a
chance for showers and storms again Wednesday afternoon, but
coverage should be less than today.
