LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW FELL OVERNIGHT MOSTLY IN LINCOLN COUNTY. THOSE SHOWERS WILL BE EXITING EASTERN NEVADA EARLY THIS MORNING AS THE SYSTEM CONTINUES EAST INTO UTAH. THE GREAT BASIN AND MOJAVE DESERT WILL LIE BETWEEN SYSTEMS WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY WITH A NOTED INCREASE IN WINDS IN THE HIGHER ELEVATION OF THE SOUTHERN SIERRA. MUCH OF THE PRECIPITATION LOOKS TO FALL IN THE SOUTHERN SIERRA FRIDAY WITH LOWER PROBABILITIES AND LIGHT AMOUNTS SPREADING INTO THE GREAT BASIN THROUGH SATURDAY. ...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX... GUSTY WESTERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND INTO THE DESERTS TONIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. WIND GUSTS OF 35 TO 50 MPH ARE EXPECTED. THERE IS ALSO A CHANCE OF SHOWERS FOR TONIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY FROM THE COAST TO THE MOUNTAINS. THE CHANCE FOR WETTING RAIN IS 10 PERCENT OR LESS FOR THE COAST AND VALLEYS AND UP TO 20 PERCENT ON THE COASTAL SLOPES OF THE SAN DIEGO MOUNTAINS. NORTH TO NORTHEASTERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TUESDAY MORNING FOR THE COASTAL SLOPES AND FOOTHILLS OF THE SAN BERNARDINO AND SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS AND BELOW THE CAJON PASS. PEAK GUSTS OF 25 TO 35 MPH EXPECTED. MINIMUM DAYTIME RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL FALL TO 15 TO 25 PERCENT FOR THE INLAND EMPIRE AND THE MOUNTAINS TUESDAY AFTERNOON. DRIER CONDITIONS WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY 10 TO 15 PERCENT EXPECTED WEDNESDAY BUT WINDS WILL BE MUCH WEAKER. WARM CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. OVERNIGHT RECOVERY WILL BE BETTER IN THE EASTERN DISTRICTS, MOSTLY BETWEEN 40-60% WITH POOR TO FAIR OVERNIGHT RECOVERY (AROUND 20-40%) IN LOWER ELEVATIONS AND WESTERN DISTRICTS THROUGH MOST OF THE WEEK. COOLER TEMPERATURES AND INCREASING MOISTURE LEVELS WILL RESULT IN HIGHER RH LEVELS LATE WEEK AND INTO THE WEEKEND.
