...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

A BREAK BETWEEN SYSTEMS IS IN STORE TODAY AHEAD OF THE NEXT
INCOMING PACIFIC STORM WHICH WILL BRING A MAJOR SNOWFALL EVENT TO
THE SOUTHERN SIERRA MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT WITH SOME
PRECIPITATION ALSO SPREADING ACROSS THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN BEFORE
TAPERING OFF BY EARLY WEDNESDAY. COOL AND DRY NORTHWEST FLOW WILL
DEVELOP GOING INTO THANKSGIVING DAY AND FRIDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

WESTERLY WINDS GUSTING UP TO 30-45 MPH IN THE MOUNTAIN PASSES,
PEAKS, AND DESERT SLOPES THIS MORNING. WETTING RAIN WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH THIS MORNING FROM THE COAST TO THE MOUNTAIN SLOPES. SNOW
LEVELS WILL REMAIN HIGH, GENERALLY ABOVE 7000 FEET. ADDITIONAL RAIN
CHANCES RETURN FOR MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY, WITH THE BEST CHANCE
OF WETTING RAIN CONTINUING TO BE IN THE MOUNTAINS. GUSTY WEST WINDS
ARE EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN AGAIN TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. DRY
CONDITIONS RETURN FOR THURSDAY INTO THE WEEKEND. THERE REMAINS
UNCERTAINTY IN THE FORECAST FOR NEXT WEEKEND, THERE ARE SOME
SOLUTIONS INDICATING ADDITIONAL PRECIPITATION WITH MOST SOLUTIONS
INDICATING DRIER AND WARMER WEATHER.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

DRY AND WARMER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE REGION
FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. OVERALL LIGHT WINDS WILL CONTINUE WITH
ONLY SOME PERIODIC LIGHT BREEZES OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN IN THE
AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. REGIONAL MOISTURE CONTENT WILL BE ON
THE INCREASE TODAY WITH MINRH VALUES BETWEEN 25-35% ACROSS THE
WESTERN DISTRICTS. VALUES ACROSS THE EASTERN DISTRICTS WILL ONLY BE
15-20% THIS AFTERNOON, BUT WILL INCREASE TO 20-25% BY MONDAY
AFTERNOON. FAIR TO GOOD OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH
THE START OF THE UPCOMING WEEK.
