.DISCUSSION...Dry and breezy conditions expected through Saturday
with southwest winds between 25 and 35 mph. These winds combined
with afternoon minimum humidity around 15 to 25 percent will lead
to near critical fire weather conditions, especially over the
southern Great Basin and portions of the eastern Sierra. Much
higher humidity along with increasing rain chances will occur
Sunday as tropical moisture is pulled into the region. Additional
shower and thunderstorm chances will return by the middle part of
next week.
