...Rises Forecast Along the Upper Sacramento River System...

.A series of strong winter storms will bring periods of moderate to
heavy rainfall to Northern California through the end of the week.
This will result in significant rises along the mainstem Sacramento
River and its tributaries. Multiple points are forecast to reach
action/monitor stage. Vina Woodson Bridge, Tehama Bridge, Vina
Woodson Bridge, and Ord Ferry all are forecast to be in minor flood
within the next 48 hours. Please refer to cnrfc.noaa.gov for all
river forecasts in California.

Forecasts are based on present and forecasted meteorological and
hydrologic conditions at time of issuance.

Unlisted forecast points are expected to remain below monitor stage.
All those affected by river conditions should remain alert for rapid
changes and for possible forecast revisions.

 Bend Bridge 2/04 8:45 stage 24.5 ft
Forecast to rise to near 29.0 FT late tonight then forecast to fall
below monitor stage of 22.0 FT tomorrow afternoon then forecast to
recede to near 15.5 FT late Thursday morning then forecast to rise
to near 17.0 FT Thursday evening.
 Monitor stage 22.0 ft, Flood stage 27.0
Impact for Bend Bridge...Near 27.0 feet, Overflow of the east bank
begins upstream of gage.

 Tehama Bridge 2/04 8:00 stage 214.9 ft
Forecast to fluctuate near 214.5 FT into late this evening then
forecast to rise to near 216.0 FT late tomorrow morning then
forecast to fall below monitor stage of 206.5 FT late Thursday
morning then forecast to recede to near 206.0 FT early Thursday
afternoon then forecast to rise above monitor stage of 206.5 FT
Thursday evening then forecast to rise to near 207.0 FT late
Thursday evening with continued rise expected.
 Monitor stage 206.5 ft, Flood stage 209.5
Impact for Tehama Bridge...Near 206.7 feet, Water into rv park on
east side of river. Tires of trailers get wet.
Near 209.7 feet, Flood stage - Road inside trailer park and turn
around site under RR tracks (Tehama/Vina road) become impassible.
Water is into area around structures on east side of river. No
structural damage. Sheriff`s office issues advisory. Makes sure
Pelhams Bay, Snug Harbor, River Inn (small trailer parks all in a
row on east side of river north of bridge) know of advisory.")
Near 215.0 feet, Low lying area on west side of river south of the
town of Tehama floods.
Near 215.3 feet, Water comes into south end of the town of Tehama on
the west bank.
Near 215.7 feet, Water on streets at south end of the town of
Tehama. Trailers at Pehlams Bay begin to flood. Many roads closed:
Gyle Road at 5th street, Gyle at RR tracks, Tehama-Vina Road at
park, and C Street west of 5th at the dip.
Near 214.7 feet, Pelams Resort access road floods.
Near 210.7 feet, Between 210 and 211 feet the county park becomes
inaccessible. At 211 feet water begins to enter Driftwood RV fishing
resort on east bank of river and just north of the county park.

 Vina Woodson Bridge 2/04 8:45 stage 183.3 ft
Forecast to rise to near 187.5 FT tomorrow morning then forecast to
fall below monitor stage of 180.0 FT Thursday morning then forecast
to recede to near 176.5 FT late Thursday evening.
 Monitor stage 180.0 ft, Flood stage 183.0
Impact for Vina Woodson Bridge...Near 184.9 feet, South Avenue
starts to flood east of the river.
Near 183.9 feet, Woodson Bridge Park is closed due to flooding.
Water is up to the top steps of the recreation center at Woodson
Bridge RV Park and spaces 15-33 begin to take on water on the east
bank of the river.
Near 185.9 feet, South Avenue is flooded and closed. The Woodson
Bridge RV Park office and spaces 1-14, 34-52, and 62-72 start to
flood.

 Ord Ferry 2/04 8:45 stage 113.4 ft
Forecast to fluctuate near 114.5 FT into tomorrow morning then
forecast to rise to near 116.5 FT early Thursday morning then
forecast to recede to near 115.5 FT late Thursday evening.
 Monitor stage 110.0 ft, Flood stage 114.0
Impact for Ord Ferry...Near 113.8 feet, Design overflow level for
M&T, 3Bs and Goose Lake flood control facilities to divert flood
flows into Butte Basin. M&T overflows close River Road from Ord
Ferry Road to Chico Road. Ord Ferry Road is already closed.
Near 114.0 feet, Designated flood stage left bank.
Near 110.3 feet, Head cuts in 3Bs silt weir start overflow into
Butte Basin, flooding dips on Ord Ferry Road west of River Road.
Persistent flows at or above this level increase flooding in Butte
Basin. Ord Ferry Road and additional roads in Glenn and Colusa
counties are closed due to flooding.

Forecast to rise above monitor stage of 88.5 FT just after midnight
tonight then forecast to rise to near 92.0 FT Thursday evening.
 Monitor stage 88.5 ft, Flood stage 97.0
Impact for Butte City...Near 89.9 feet, Overbank flow of the east
bank begins upstream of the gage. Water flows into Butte Basin.

Present overflow depth is about 0.1 FT then overflow depth at weir
increasing to 1.0 FT late tonight then overflow depth at weir
increasing to 1.2 FT tomorrow morning then overflow depth at weir
increasing to 1.4 FT late tomorrow morning then overflow depth at
weir increasing to 1.6 FT early tomorrow afternoon then overflow
depth at weir increasing to 1.8 FT tomorrow afternoon then overflow
depth at weir increasing to 2.1 FT late tomorrow evening then
overflow depth at weir increasing to 2.3 FT early Thursday morning
then overflow depth at weir increasing to 2.5 FT early Thursday
morning.
 Monitor stage 76.2 ft, Flood stage 83.8
Impact for Moulton Weir...Near 76.2 feet, Moulton Weir crest
elevation. Overflow begins into butte sink. River Road is flooded
and closed.

Present overflow depth is about 5.4 FT then overflow depth at weir
increasing to 5.4 FT late this evening then overflow to remain near
depth of 6.7 FT into late Thursday evening.
 Monitor stage 60.9 ft, Flood stage 70.1
Impact for Colusa Weir...Near 60.9 feet, Colusa Weir crest
elevation. Overflow begins into the Sutter Bypass.

forecast to rise to near 67.5 FT early Thursday morning.
 Monitor stage 63.0 ft, Flood stage 70.0
Impact for Colusa Bridge...Near 67.2 feet, Water moves into the
parking lot and outdoor patio of Colusa Landing RV Park along east
bank of river.
Near 65.0 feet, Water moves into the parking lot of Loves Landing
trailer park along east bank of river inside levee.
Near 63.0 feet, Monitor Stage.

Present overflow depth is about 3.0 FT then overflow to remain near
depth of 4.0 FT into late Thursday evening.
 Monitor stage 44.1 ft, Flood stage 51.6
Impact for Tisdale Weir...Near 44.1 feet, Tisdale Weir crest
elevation. Overflow begins into the Tisdale Bypass. This water
eventually ends up in the Sutter Bypass.
