...The National Weather Service in Sacramento CA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in California...

  Sacramento River Above Bend Bridge affecting Tehama County.

  Sacramento River Near Hamilton City affecting Butte and Glenn
  Counties.

...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in California...

  Sacramento River Below Red Bluff Diversion Dam affecting Tehama
  County.

For the Upper Sacramento River...including Tehama Bridge, Vina
Woodson Bridge, Ord Ferry, and Hamilton City...Minor flooding is
forecast. Moderate flooding is forecast for Red Bluff Diversion Dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Sacramento River above Bend Bridge.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, Overflow of the east bank begins upstream
  of gage.
  At 29.5 feet, Adobe Road at Surrey Village is flooded and closed.
  Approximately 200 homes are isolated. Homes begin to flood along
  Fisher Road on the east side of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 PM PST Tuesday the stage was 23.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this evening to a crest of 29.4 feet just after midnight
    tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    29.5 feet on 03/15/2023.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO THURSDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Sacramento River near Hamilton City.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 137.7 feet, West Sacramento Avenue and River Road
  north of Big Chico Creek flood 1.5 hours after the Hamilton City
  gage reaches 137.7-138.0 feet.
  At 144.0 feet, County Road 23 in Glenn County closes east of RD
  2140 levee as a result of water on roadway.
  At 145.1 feet, Water inundates Phase 2A restoration area north of
  Hwy 32 bridge inside of levee; touches toe of levee.
  At 146.8 feet, Water at top of Irvine Finch boat ramp.
  At 147.2 feet, Overflow begins on the east bank of the river, from
  near Wilson Landing Road to Highway 32.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 PM PST Tuesday the stage was 145.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 142.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    just after midnight tonight to a crest of 148.8 feet tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 147.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    148.7 feet on 01/15/2023.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO EARLY THURSDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Sacramento River below Red Bluff Diversion Dam.

* WHEN...From this evening to early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 248.6 feet, The river starts to flow eastward into
  sand slough on the left bank upstream of the gage.
  At 256.6 feet, Overflow of east bank of river downstream of gage
  begins. Housing development in the area is threatened.
  At 256.9 feet, The trailer house at the south end of Idle Wheels
  Trailer Park starts to take water. Water is up to the parking lot
  at city park. Paynes Creek slough closes Bell Mill Road at Kaer
  Avenue.
  At 257.6 feet, Water starts into the houses on Mary Lane, Howell
  Street and surrounding streets.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM PST Tuesday the stage was 256.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 252.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM PST Tuesday was 256.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 259.2
    feet late tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early
    tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 255.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    258.9 feet on 03/15/2023.
