The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Butte County in northwestern South Dakota...
  Northwestern Lawrence County in west central South Dakota...
  East central Crook County in northeastern Wyoming...

* Until 800 PM MDT.

* At 712 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles northeast
  of Aladdin, or 12 miles west of Belle Fourche, moving east at 20
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Spearfish, Belle Fourche, Fruitdale, Aladdin, Belle Fourche
  Reservoir, and northern Spearfish Canyon.

This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 1
and 17.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on or near Belle Fourche Reservoir, get away from the water and
move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out
to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now!  Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
