.DISCUSSION...It will be partly sunny today with high
temperatures ranging from the 30s in northwestern South Dakota to
the lower 50s in southwestern South Dakota. Minimum relative
humidity will range from around 55 percent in far northwestern
South Dakota to around 25 percent in southwestern South Dakota.
Winds will be south-southeast 5 to 15 mph this afternoon.

...HIGH FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the high category this
afternoon. Unfavorable weather conditions and low moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that there is high potential for a fire to spread.
Outdoor burning should be restricted to early morning
or evening hours when wind speeds are usually lower and the
relative humidity is higher.

The outlook for Saturday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the high category to very high category.
