Mostly sunny skies are expected today with high temperatures in the mid 70s to mid 80s. Minimum relative humidities will dip to the mid 20s to upper 30s. A cool front will move through today. Ahead of the front, southerly winds at 15-25 mph are expected. Behind the cool front, northwest winds will average 12-22 mph. The grassland fire danger index will reach the very high category this afternoon. Very poor weather conditions and very low moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that dangerous burning conditions exist. Fires will spread rapidly and show erratic behavior. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
